Vocation
When Jesus was asked by the emmisaries of John the Baptist if He was the Messiah,
His answer was to tell them what He was doing.
"The blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk, the leper is made clean, the dead
raised to life and the Good News is preached to the poor." (Mt 11:4-5)
We are the Sons of Mary, a missionary community of Christ's disciples in a lay
religious Congregation dedicated to continuing the redemptive process begun by
God in His living Covenant with His people. Ours is the ministry of healing, a
ministry that defines health as a state of complete physical, mental, spiritual
and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. We strive
to live and work in such a way that those to whom we minister will know that God
has acted upon them in a healing event.
Men attracted to the Sons of Mary usually have completed college, or have worked
for some years in their profession. We look for men of strength, constancy,
sacrificial spirit and a sense of humor who love God and His Blessed Mother and
are zealous for the healing of bodies and souls to such an extent that they will
forget themselves and work with untiring devotion to realize the spirit and vision
of the Congregation.
We look for men who want to give their whole lives to Jesus Christ and to the
missionary service of His Church. Our Formation Program consists of one-year
Candidacy and two-year Novitiate . Our program is a contextualized program done
